We're back! Our core team took a hiatus between 2010-2015 performing and working in various countries and are back together again combining our exposure and experience to new and different cultures.

Striiiings defines class with our unique Piano Quintet, Quartet and Trio groups, and performs the widest genre of music in the industry.

With over twenty years of experience performing at Weddings and events, you can trust our team to be with you every step of the way.

Piano Quintet/Quartet/Trio

The piano groups are highly recommended especially for weddings due to the versatility, expansive repertoire and touch of class that cannot be matched by other combinations. The addition of the piano also allows the group to react quickly to emcees and stage events, and can perform live background piano solos during speeches, cake-cutting ceremonies and champagne pouring.

Arrangements of songs not within our repertoire can also be easily done for the piano groups, and sound much fuller, often requested by clients for their wedding march-ins and dish presentations.

String/Flute Quartet/Trio

The string quartet, string trio, flute quartet and flute trio are able to perform many pieces found on our repertoire page. These groups excel in performing traditional classical repertoire. They are also able to perform certain pop, jazz, and tangos, but the piano groups will sound more full bodied.

We also have piano solo, piano duet and pop strollers to cater for smaller and more unique settings.

Chun Lim - Violist / Violinist
Lim Chun is one of Singapore's most gifted musician on the viola and the violin. He partnered great cellist Yo-Yo Ma in the Asian Youth Orchestra's 1997 concert tour, and performed Walton's virtuosic Viola Concerto at the President's Young Performers Series. He is a graduate of the Peabody Conservatory of Music Master of Music programme.
He has a Post-Masters Artist Diploma at Yale University and was a founding member of Orquesta de la Comunitat Valenciana. He currently performs as a guest soloist at the invitation of orchestras including the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.

Sher Maine Wong - Pianist / Violinist
Sher Maine started playing the violin aged 4 and was a member of the Singapore National Youth Orchestra for 10 years from the age of 12. During that time, she was selected to participate in an exchange programme to play with the Scottish Youth Orchestra.
While studying at Temasek JC, she was the concert mistress of the string orchestra.
She was also the solo violinist with the group Gruv Mandalas performing its own world music-inspired compositions at the 2001 National Arts Festival. The group also performed at the Esplanade Concert Hall during the first Lunchbox at the Esplanade series.

Pol Liew - Pianist / Cellist
Pol started playing the piano aged 4, and has a Licentiate performer's diploma from the Trinity College of London.
He also began cello studies in secondary school, and holds an Advanced Certificate from the Royal Schools of Music.
He was a founding member and principal cellist of the Singapore Lyric Opera Orchestra (later renamed the Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra) under the baton of Maestro Lim Yau, performing various operas and musicals alongside classical symphonies.
As a cellist, he represented Singapore during the 1996 Asean Youth Music Workshop in Bangkok, Thailand, and was the principal cellist in various orchestras and ensembles.
Pol spent a year in Japan playing the Cello and Piano in various Tokyo Bars performing world music, and currently resides in Singapore arranging music for Striiiings' piano groups.
